Adele Lillian Sykes, 81, of West Vancouver, B.C., passed away peacefully in the afternoon on October 23, 2013, after a long battle with Parkinson disease. She is survived by her son, Paul (Caroline); and three grandchildren, Catherine, James and Robert. Adele was predeceased by her husband, David; brother, Doug; and sister, Pat. Adele was a kind and gentle person who was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, B.C.
