Barbara Dorothy Barnes (nee Bailey) passed away at age 87, peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Rosalyn (Jon), Russell (Nancy), and grandchildren Alex, Cameron and Ryan. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Roy. Barbara traveled from Birmingham to Vancouver in 1957 as a nurse where she soon met Roy on a blind date square dancing. Together they built their family home and tended to their beautiful English garden. Barbara loved crafts of all kinds, particularly knitting baby clothes for the Lions Gate Hospital Auxiliary. We would like to thank her loving caregivers, Olga and Victoria, whom provided much care and comfort to Barbara and her family in her final years at home.
