Born in 1920, within the City of London, with her twin Margaret at home in the Ye Olde Mitre Tavern (est 1546) Hatton Garden. Mail addressed simply The Twins, London, England would be safely delivered to the residence. The girls attended public school at Dame Alice Owen School, which celebrated its 400th birthday in 2013. During WWII, Barbara was a telephone exchange operator, who many times stayed at her post during the four years of bombing. A West Vancouver resident for some 48 years, Barbara was an avid lawn bowler, quilter and member of the Legion Womens Auxiliary. She will be sorely missed by friends and her family; daughter Irene, sons Terry and Ross, daughter-in-law Leonore and granddaughter Jennifer. The Family wishes to thank the West Vancouver Care Centre for the excellent care given to Barbara during her three year stay.
