Mrs. Clara Cherry

CHERRY - Clara age 89 at Lions Gate Hospital after a brief illness. Predeceased by her brother Charlie and her husband John Michael. She is survived by daughters Michelle (Ralph), Lisa (Kenny), grandchildren Megan and Nicolas, niece Sharon Statham (David) and family, half sister Pat Kim Auton and family, sister-in-law Lynn Mullins and family, brother-in-law Peter Cherry and family. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the following charities Clara supported for many years: BCSPCA, CKNW Orphans’ Fund, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation. The family especially wish to thank the numerous agencies and individuals who made it possible for Clara to live and thrive independently at home in her cherished West Vancouver by providing meals, medical services, transportation, house and garden care. Thank you to the many doctors, nurses and staff at Lions Gate Hospital who generously gave extra time and attention to ensure comfort and care for “Our Mum” while in hospital. Clara was a true born and raised West Vancouver pioneer who delighted in raising her daughters in her beloved community in which she and her husband were raised. Clara left an unforgettable impression with people she met from all backgrounds and vocations. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
