APRIL 15TH, 1955-DECEMBER 6TH, 2015
Our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on December 6th in North Vancouver, surrounded by family and friends. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Kay Watt, his sister Correne Carson (Jeff), his niece Kimberly Beal (Jeff), his nephew Devon Carson (Karolin), his great-nephews, Declan, Rowan and Benni (a great-niece on the way), and his caring friend, Monica, as well as so many others who knew him as friend both near and far. David was predeceased by his father Dave Watt Sr. in 1997.
David grew up in West Vancouver, enjoying family vacations in Palm Desert and Hawaii. Most summers were spent in the backyard pool or boating to Gambier Island and surrounding destinations. David attended Westcot, St. George’s, Sentinel and Hillside schools and even traveled alone to Europe as a sixteen-year-old. Over the years he worked at Birks, The Vancouver Hotel, Expo and had a few adventures in Calgary and Victoria. Eventually he took a vacation to Puerto Vallarta and decided to move there. Dave made Mexico his home for over 25 years, becoming successful as a valued property manager to many grateful clients. David’s friends in Puerto Vallarta were his family and they had such fun together! They were always there for each other. He had recently moved back to Vancouver and was happy to be close to his immediate family once again.
David was a gentle, kind, loving man who lived his life with class, courage, humour, and integrity. He would do anything for anyone - BEST BROTHER, SON AND FRIEND EVER!
We are grateful to Dr. Paul Sugar and LGH Palliative Care for their loving care and support. There will be a celebration of David’s life at a later time. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Paul Sugar Palliative Support Foundation.
