Edward Maquignaz

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Maquignaz on March 21, 2025, at the age of 95. Born in Montreal in 1929, Ed lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Ed married the love of his life Gloria 69 years ago and together they built a beautiful life filled with warmth and cherished memories. He was the beloved father to Joanne (Rick), Gina (Bryan), Linda (Dave), and David (Suzy). He was also a very proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Ed was a loving brother to Margaret (Allan) and his late siblings, Ninette (Mario) and Louis (Françoise). He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Ed had a fulfilling career, working for General Motors in Montreal, Regina, and Oshawa before becoming the owner of Pacific GMC in Vancouver.

A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on April 4th at 1:30 PM at Hollyburn Funeral Home in West Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross at www.redcross.ca.
