August 21, 1930 – September 8, 2021
On the morning of September 8th, while eagles circled above, Florian peacefully departed her Bowen Island sanctuary to return home to the creator.
Florian was born in Edmonton, Alberta and completed the nursing program at Vancouver General Hospital in 1952. As a Registered Nurse, Florian was a flight attendant with Trans-Canada Airlines (now Air Canada) and relocated to raise her family in Montreal and Toronto.
Having travelled and sailed the world, Florian returned to the West Coast and settled on Bowen Island in 1995. Florian’s genuine love and care for all animals, especially cats, has forever been instilled in her many descendants and friends.
Florian was predeceased by both her parents, Thomas and Janet L. Fyfe, and her loving husband Happy Thomas Alan Wells. She is survived by her children (Marian, Sandy, Robyn and Thom) as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A gathering in celebration of Florian’s life will occur in Bowen Island at a later date.
Lovingly remember always by grandson, James and his husband, Michael.
