Gunnel was born in Grangärde, Sweden on May 31, 1926. She was predeceased by her husband Roland Dahlquist. Gunnel is survived by her two nieces Gun Skoog and Rigmor Tickols in Sweden. Gunnel’s ashes will be buried beside her husband Roland at Grangärde Cemetery in Dalarna, Sweden.
Gunnel had a long and active life and will be missed by her many Canadian, US and Swedish friends.
According to her wishes, no memorial service will be held in Canada.
