December 20, 1939 - August 24, 2018
Lifetime Vancouverite Gary Cooper passed away
with dignity, after a long battle with dementia. He
was a kind and true gentleman to the very end.
He leaves behind precious memories with his wife
and soul mate Marjorie. Sons Darren (Elspeth)
Stuart; Chris (Krista) Tatiana, Ford. Marjorie’s family;
Debbie Heffel, Lindsay (Jamey) and great granddaughters
Mackenna, Zoe Petty; Cheryl (Tom)
Kendall, Morgan, Thomas McIntyre; David (Patsy)
Ryan, Josh Heffel, Robert (Jennifer) Ainsley Heffel;
and Gary’s sister Joan (Les) Kynaston and family.
Gary was president of AutoMarine Electric, spending
his entire career in the Automotive Industry. He loved
golfing with his buddies at Capilano Golf Course and
in Palm Desert, skiing at Whistler and hiking Capilano
Canyon. Gary touched the hearts of those of us who
were fortunate to share special moments together
with him. He will be missed.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers of West
Vancouver Care Centre, Lions Gate Hospital, and
Maison Senior Living who cared for him during his
final journey.
In lieu of flowers, we appreciate donations in Gary’s
memory, to the Alzheimer’s Society of B.C.
