I met Joe as a fellow player of games on FB. I am shocked to learn of his passing. We chatted back and forth on topics, and he offered recommendations for our trip to Vancouver. So sad. Joe, you will be missed.

I can't believe you are gone. The 30 years that I knew you went by far too quickly. From the time I first met you in the old Tudor House, and the many great times we shared over the years, I was always proud to call you my friend. Even during some of the hard times you went through, you would never compromise your principles or bend to the stormy winds of adversity. You always stood tall with a glint in your eye and that grin on your face, as if to say "Bring it on" I always admired you for that. We could all learn a thing or two about living a good and proper life from you. I know I have, and I thank you for that Joe. You meant so much more to me than you ever realized, and I will sorely miss you. Rest easy and be at peace. You were a good and decent man, and if anyone deserves the rewards of a life well lived, it is you my friend. I love you buddy...

Joe, you were so loved by your workmates and friends in Victoria. We sat in stunned silence when we heard that you were gone. It is so hard when a good kind person passes and you my friend are both of these. Hey Joe I'm sad we won't meet again here on earth.. Although we never got to spend time together later in life I will never forget the times we did earlier.. Like going to Uncle Gary and aunty Nancy's wedding in Canmore Alberta where you, my brother Chris and I rode in the back of the slide in camper my parents borrowed.  You always had kind and supportive words when chatting on the internet.  And Joe thanks for being there when my Dad was sick with cancer before he died, when mom was busy. May you, your Dad, Mom and Uncle George be having some good ol laughs now and keep smiling down on us... Love you Cousin
