It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of Jane. She is survived by her loving family husband Charles, son James, daughter-in-law Lorna. Daughter-in law Maria and fiancé Cal. Her dear beloved grandchildren Will, Marissa, Kara and Reece. Also, many friends, especially Kimberlee who was a soulmate and sounding board. She was predeceased by her son Rob in 2011 and her brother Ross Davison in 2019.
Jane had a quick wit and loved solving the NY Times crosswords, especially the Saturday edition. She loved cooking and creating new dishes and was the queen of triple-decker sandwiches! She loved to walk in the woods, be with nature and always yearned for a rustic log cabin in the woods by a stream. A dream from her childhood with many summers spent at Silvercreek Log Cabins in Hope BC in the 1950's and early 1960's. She loved children and often said we don't give them enough credit for their innate intelligence. Kids are way smarter than we know, was her motto.
She attended English horseback riding classes at Southlands as a child and said side saddle was by far the most difficult of all including bareback. She was lucky as she once had the privilege to ride a racehorse and the thrill of her life was going full gallop...no walk, trot or canter. Dogs were her passion, especially Labradors and she was the proud owner of Patty, Cleo, Ben and Beau. She walked her dogs at Ambleside beach everyday and made many lifelong friends over those years.
She will be missed by many.
