Margaret passed away peacefully on the morning of September 24, 2018. She is predeceased by her husband Frederick W. Banks. Margaret married Fred “The love of her life in 1940".
During the “London Blitz” while Fred was on leave from the 8th Army and shortly after his escape from “Dunkirk”
Margaret’s passion for art earned her scholarship to art school in London and she enjoyed painting well into old age.
Babs and Fred immigrated to Canada after the war and enjoyed travelling to many countries.
Margaret had strong opinions and never held back--- No one was spared! Affectionately known as “The Tough Ole Brit” She was an inspiration and lived her life the way she wanted to.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters, Gillian A. Jenkin (Arnold); Carole archer and Shirley Clarke-Crockart (Graham). Grandchildren Dana Bendtsen, Jonas and Kelyn Archer, Jason and Tylor Soprovich, Diane Boulton, David, Nick and Andrew Jenkin in Australia.
