Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Clemiss

June 1937- April 2016

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Marion passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 10, 2016 after a brief but serious battle with Influenza.

Marion was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. We take comfort in knowing they are now together again continuing their world travels.

Marion was born and raised in Vancouver. Along with her twin sister Margie they had many adventures and made long lasting friendships that continue today.

Marion’s motto in life was “JUST LAUGH!” She was the eternal optimist no matter what was happening. Her easy going personality, winning smile and charming ways will always be remembered. She loved having fun, going out and experiencing life to the fullest. She enjoyed her life in the West End community for many years, spending time in English Bay, Stanley Park, and taking part in all the activities the area had to offer. She gave back to the community by joining the West End Cleanup group - helping to keep her neighborhood clean and made many good friends along the way.

Marion's bubbly personality and continual smile touched all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed. After 10 years apart, she joins her loving husband, Arthur Clemiss in heaven. Marion is survived by her children; Lisa (Bob), Conrad (Monica), grandchildren; Danai , Thomas, Hayley and Dylan, sister Margie (Fitz) and many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her brother Bill.

Life is precious and should be lived with a smile. Marion did that with flying colours. All who were lucky enough to know her will miss her. Keep good memories close by and remember…“JUST LAUGH!”
