Born August 30, 1928, a graduate of St. Paul’s Hospital nursing program and the eldest daughter of the North Vancouver pioneer family John and Carrie Cates, died peacefully in her home on March 25, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ed, sisters Elizabeth, Anne and Caroline, children Paul (Sharon), Carrie (Randy), Mark (Patti) and Lisa (Allan), nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
