Millie worked at Zellers, K-Mart and Walmart, and was a well-known and well-loved worker. She excelled in cooking and loved to watch TV cooking shows and trying her new creations on the family. In particular, her South African dishes were beyond excellence. Even going on to being featured occasionally in the Chilliwack Progress paper under the column "Kitchen Kapers". Flower arranging was another of her passions and while a member of the United Church, she joined a team that beautified the Sanctuary. She often found herself interested in different hobbies and was eager to learn something new when an opportunity presented itself.
Together, Millie and her husband experienced life to the fullest, and because of their outgoing personalities, they made many friends, and led an exciting and entertaining life. They travelled extensively and even when in later life they had many health concerns, they still kept GOING. They continued to dream and set goals together, even into her final days. Her unique spirit inspired many who knew her well.
