I am deeply saddened to hear of Warren's passing and only found out yesterday Aug.1st. I had known him since 1969. He was a true friend and at one time my boss as I was branch manager for Mother's Music in Vancouver from 1985 -90.

He had the best sense of humor of anyone I ever knew and I will dearly miss him.

I was very sad to hear of Warren's passing. Like so many others here, I worked for him for several years, and he was always a larger-than-life, enthusiastic man. My condolences to his family.

I am so sorry.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Warren's passing. Warren gave me my start in musicial instrument retail 11/1/76 and I worked side by side with him and his family for over 8 years. I treasure many, many memories of training, guidance and pure fun. Heart felt condolences go out to his family and friends.

Thoughts and prayers are with you Lloy and and your Family , I am so sorry about Warren. Life is what Warren was about, he was a pleasure to be around, so many wonderful memories of times spent together. It was with heart felt sadness that I heard of Warren's passing. I knew Warren for over 42 years and he was always very kind, accommodating and helpful to me as a musician, a business owner and a friend. My memories of him regaling us with his stories is something that I will always remember with great fondness. My sincere condolences to Lloy and all family members. Warren will be missed and I don't see another like him coming along in our industry again.

Like many here, I had the chance to work for Warren and it was a pleasure. He was open to everything I every brought to him, had the greatest sense of humour...he was good to me and I am thankful to have known him. Mothers had financed many projects I had been in, as well as so many musicians I knew. Warren helped people realize dreams.

i will cherish my fond memories spent working with Warren

I am sorry to hear of Warren's passing.  It was a great privilege to work in his company for about 17 years. Like the other contributors, I can attest to his professional and positive outlook.  His sleeves were always rolled up whenever he came to visit the instrument side at GPM. I can't count the number of times I had the pleasure of watching him build a display covering a whole wall.

I was saddened to hear the news of Warren's passing.  Warren was a larger-than-life personality, with a great sense of humour and an infectious laugh. Those of us who worked with him could never stay serious for too long, as there was inevitably a funny story (and usually a true story) that would have the room in gales of laughter. My condolences to his loved ones.  He will be missed.

I worked for Warren form 1993 until 2007. Never did Ia day go by that wasn't enlightened by him and his sense of humour. I had the pleasure of talking with him a few weeks back and despite his poor health, he still had that spark of a personality...

I had the pleasure of working for Warren at Mother's Music (Vancouver) in the mid 90s.  I was so young and such a greenhorn, yet he was so supportive.  Such a fun person to work for.  Larger than life and one of the funniest people I've ever known.  I'll never forget all those great staff "meetings."  Thank you for the memories Mr. Price!

I worked for Warren back in the 90's at the Vancouver store for 5 years. Warren was a good man, with a quick sense of humor that always kept me laughing. Best boss I ever had. My condolences to the family.

I was so sorry to learn of Warren's passing earlier this week and wanted to extend my sincere sympathies to the entire Price family.  I have known Warren for over 45 years and "bigger than life" is a great expression to use when describing him.  As one of the original "Drum Shop Boys" in the late 60's and early 70's, I was impacted by his big ideas.   We were so grateful that his vision carried our little shop to a world class percussion store in Canada…and he went on to build one of North America's pre-eminent music businesses.  Warren was a powerful first influence in my lifetime in sales and I am so happy to have known him.

I was so saddened to hear of Warren's passing last week.  Like everyone, his name brought an instant smile remembering his warmth and humour.  My deepest sympathy to Lloy and family.

I was so very saddened to hear of Uncle Warren's passing and send my love and thoughts to Lloy, Laurie, Ginny, and their children.  I recall, with great fondness, Warren having us all in stitches at birthday parties, his fabulous sense of humour, warm smile, optimism, and love & kindness through the years.  I will miss him .....

Warren was such a good friend and the funniest man we have known. We always came away with sore sides from laughing when we spent time with Warren and Lloy. He even made his illness funny and he was always the brunt of his jokes. He was so kind to everyone, and we will always admire what a good son he was.

So sorry to hear of Warren's passing.  He was always a force in the music industry, particularly in Western Canada.  I had the great pleasure of swapping stories with him on a few occasions.  Always a gentleman to deal with.
