January 23, 1923 - January 31, 2013
Raised in Ottawa and Chalk River, Peter always had a love of the outdoors. After a season on the "Nascopie" Arctic supply ship in 1942, he served with the RCAF Husky Squadron 437. He met his wife Sheila (Dawson) at McGill University where he completed a Commerce Degree. Migrating west with a young family and a career in investment counselling, Peter settled with Sheila in West Vancouver. For his children Cliff, John, David and Alison he was like having a scout leader for a Dad, always launching skiing, canoeing, hiking, sailing adventures for us and our friends. He finished his career as vice-president of Phillips, Hagar and North, enjoying many years of travel with Sheila, time at beloved Kootenay Lake and four grandchildren. Peter will be remembered lovingly by his wonderful circle of family and friends for his energy, humour, and humility.
