Pierre Doise

A visionary in the wine importation industry, Pierre established Select Wine Merchants in 1982. Through his tireless work, profound knowledge and expertise, he grew the company from a modest Vancouver office to a top-tier Canadian enterprise with offices from coast to coast, representing the finest international brands. After 39 years, Pierre retired, leaving the company in capable hands. He served as the former Honorary Consul of Monaco and as a French Foreign Trade Advisor.

Pierre proudly upheld his French heritage throughout his life, including his passion for fine wines and cooking, which he found immense joy in sharing over traditional Sunday lunches with family and friends.

Pierre was a man of great integrity, admired for his thoughtfulness, intelligence, and loving nature.

He is survived by his mother Mme. Leon Jean Doise; his cherished daughter, Valerie (and spouse); his beloved son, Louis-Jerome (and spouse); and his lovely granddaughter. He also leaves behind three brothers and three half-sisters overseas. Pierre will be profoundly missed by family and friends, both here and abroad.

At Pierre's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice is suggested in his memory.
