Mr. Robert Edward Brooks

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of

Robert (Bob) Brooks on October 10, 2014. He is

survived by his loving wife Nora, former wife

Marilyn, daughter Sharon (Tim), stepson Rob,

stepdaughter Karen (Paul), grandchildren Nicole,

Lauren, Emma and Blake, brother Fred (Shirley),

nieces and nephews. Bob spent his youth in

Pender Harbour and always considered it his real

home. Ten years ago he and Nora built their dream

home there. Spending time on the property was

his greatest joy. As a schoolboy fisherman in

Pender Harbour, a North Van High graduate, a

student of Engineering at UBC, his work with BC

Electric (later BC Hydro) and his 40 plus years as

an Investment Advisor in Vancouver, he brought

his passion, commitment and integrity to each and

every endeavor. He was a life member of the

Terminal City Club, a member of the Pender

Harbour Golf Club and the Pender Harbour Legion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Terminal

City Club, 837 West Hastings Street, Vancouver on

October 29 at 3-5pm. A Celebration of Life will be

held in Pender Harbour at a later date.
