Sarah Elisabeth Jackson, November 24, 1982 – November 08, 2020

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter Sarah.

As a child Sarah had a remarkable sense of fun and a knack to see the humour in almost every situation. As a teenager she was an exceptional athlete who won many medals in track and field. Sarah went to high school at Sentinel, then attended UBC where she achieved a B.A. in classical studies and a law degree. She then practised law with her father for several years.

Sarah loved music, movies, comedy, cooking, hiking with her beloved dogs Lucy and Ruby, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Sarah was highly intelligent and quick-witted, a natural entertainer who lit up the room, and an exceedingly kind and generous person with a big heart.

She leaves her immediate family: mom and dad, Penny and Brian; brother David (Kate), Ella and Ione; brother Matthew (Karina); sister Maggie (Jason), Liam and Ben.

There is a hole in our hearts which can be repaired but never mended. If there are hills in heaven Sarah will be climbing them.

Penny, Brian and family: We are so sorry to hear Sarah passed away. We met Sarah at your lovely Christmas parties over the years. She was beautiful and friendly. She grew up in a loving home I hope you can find peace in that.

I will always remember your laugh, kindness, love for your pets and the adventures we had growing up in WV. The vivid memories of you dancing and twirling in the sun of your parents front yard, and spending hours outside playing in the creek and forest with you will always hold a special place in my heart.
A friendship that will be treasured and never forgotten.

My thought are with your family -sending light and love.

Although I wasn’t close with Sarah, being her neighbour the last few months, I realized how lovely & sweet she was. It is very apparent to me how loved she was & always will be by her family. I’m thankful I was given the opportunity to have Ruby over that short period of time & meet Sarah’s loving family. Although meeting under the circumstances weren’t ideal, I feel we were meant to cross paths. I wish there were words I could say to give you all comfort in this time. I have been saying a prayer for peace & comfort for you all & Sarah at this time. She will always be remembered for accomplishments & bright smile in this world. Sending you love & light in such a tough time.

Our thoughts are with the Jackson family. We have known Sarah since she was a gorgeous tiny baby. She grew up to be a bold, beautiful, witty and smart young woman with a beautiful smile and an outrageous laugh. She stood tall for her friends and her clients. Sarah’s final chapters were only a small part of her life. Sarah, we are going to miss you very much and we are saddened by your loss. We choose to remember you as the healthy, bold, and beautiful person you were; as someone who loved her family and as someone who brightened a room and made the family’s dogs wag their tails.
Much love,
Henry, Betty, Sam & family, & Tadz
