Mrs. Susan Lynn Atwood

October 24, 1955 - December 28, 2014

Susan Lynn Atwood enriched the lives of all those

she touched. We remember her unlimited

kindness and generous spirit. We remember her

joy in family and friends. With Brian and Jenn

holding her hands, she passed away peacefully on

December 28. She was predeceased by her

brother Edwin and her parents John and Emily.

She is survived by her beloved husband Brian, her

devoted daughter Jenn (Hale) and her

stepdaughter Drew. Raised on the North Shore,

Sue graduated from West Vancouver Secondary

School and then went on to earn her Teacher's

Certificate from Simon Fraser University and her

Master's in Education from UBC. During her

35-year career in the West Vancouver School

District, she made a positive difference in the lives

of students, staff and parents. Sue was the worthy

recipient of the Reader's Digest National

Leadership in Education Award as well as the

Lieutenant Governor's Award for Teaching

Excellence. A loving wife and mother, a treasured

friend and a valued community leader, she is

remembered fondly. A private, closed Celebration

of Sue's Life is planned. In lieu of flowers, please

or North Shore Hospice.
