Mr. Tibor John Pataky

July 16, 1938 - October 28, 2015

We are sad to announce the passing of Tibor John Pataky after a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 77. He is loved and missed by his wife Violet his three sons Robert David and Brian, and his 8 grandchildren. He will also be long remembered by many relatives and friends in Canada, Hungary and Sweden. Tibor is a graduate of the University of Manitoba school of Civil Engineering class of 1964. He started his career with the Manitoba Highways department in Winnipeg as a design engineer. In 1970 he joined Crippen Acres and later TAMS Brazil working on local and international projects. In 1976 he joined BC Hydro and continued his local and international work. In 2001, he incorporated "TJ Pataky Consulting Engineering Inc", and continued work for BC Hydro and SNC Lavalin until his death. A private celebration of his life will be held for family and friends at a later date. Many thanks to the staff at Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care and North Shore Hospice for their support.
