mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Valentine was born in Jakobstal, Romania and passed peacefully in North Vancouver, BC her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Aldo; her 4 children; David (Sandi); Michael (Joanne); Lori (Glenn); Lisa (Dave); her grandchildren Danny, Jessica, Faith, Robert, Nicole, Erica, Brittney, Steven, Dana, Ivy; great granddaughter Octavia; sister Annette, brothers Arthur (Elaine) and Gary (Lorna) as well as many other dear family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Annie.
Mom’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. She and our dad modeled a loving relationship of teamwork, strength and devotion. Mom enjoyed family gatherings, picnics, dancing and decorating. She belonged to a bridge club, was an avid tennis player into her 70’s and led an active life learning to ski (water + snow), golf, play bocce and more. She had a competitive spirit, a good sense of humour, a beautiful smile and an impeccable sense of style.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the Redeemer Parish, 599 Keith Road, West Vancouver, BC, on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 10:30 am.
