Annie Bernice Conrad Thibodeaux

She was born in Creole Louisiana on December 23, 1926 to Willis and Alvina Venable. She was married to her loving husband, Eltee Thibodeaux for 44 years. She was a matriarch of one of the oldest families in Westlake and was a charter member of Belview Baptist Church of Westlake. She loved painting, gardening, cooking, traveling, dancing and visiting on her front porch. Her most prized possessions were her family and two dachshunds, Sally and Sam.

She is survived by her husband, sons, Butch Conrad and wife, Sue of DeRidder, Billy Conrad and wife, Lisa of Westlake, Johnny Conrad and wife, D’Anne of Kemah, TX, Owens Conrad and wife, Connie of Westlake, Greg Conrad and wife, Sara of DeQuincy and Dan Conrad and wife, Annette of Westlake; stepson, Audie Thibodeaux and wife, Debra of Sulphur; sisters, May Bostick of Lake Charles, Margaret Griffin of Lake Charles and Ann Wright of Orange, TX; brother, Willis Venable Jr. of Orange, TX; sister-in-laws, Mae Menard of Sulphur and Linda Thibodeaux of Pasadena, TX; 31- grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, step daughter, Renee Carpenter, the father of her sons, John Leslie “Dude” Conrad and many other loved ones that were waiting to greet her.

Her funeral will be 2pm, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Westlake. Visitation will be Saturday, 2pm-10pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and resume Sunday 1pm until service time at the church. Burial will be in Goos Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
