She was born and raised in Coteau, Louisiana where after graduating high school, went on to be a telephone switchboard operator. She later married her husband, Dalton Henry Sr and moved to Westlake, Louisiana for the remainder of her life.
She then became a stay at home mom and went on to raise 6 children, and many of her grandchildren. She was a member of Saint John Bosco parish for many years. She loved to read and watch movies in her down time, as well as cook for her family. She, above all, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Dalton “Decky” Henry, Jr. and wife Angie of Sulphur, Steven Henry of Westlake; four daughters, Barbara “Penny” Leger and husband Gerald of Ragley, Bonnie Johnson and husband Mike of Sulphur, Belinda Burnett and husband Mike of Westlake, and Debra Gotreaux and husband Todd of Westlake. Along with 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6pm. Visitation will resume Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 9:00 am until 9:45 am. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
