Beverly Ann Hartnett

January 6, 1940 – December 11, 2024
Obituary of Beverly Ann Hartnett
IN THE CARE OF

Hixson Westlake

Beverly Ann Hartnett, born on January 6, 1940, peacefully passed away December 11th, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Bill" Hetzler and Methel Hetzler.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her husband of many years, David Hartnett. Beverly was the proud mother of Robert Harris (married to Mhaya Harris), Tim Harris, Heidi Corley, Jill Harris, and Danielle Hartnett. She will be deeply missed by her eight grandchildren: Eric Linville, Dex Harris, Chelsey Linville, Megan Perry, Matthew Harris, Eunice Hil Coscos, Georcyll Coscos, and Skyler Gem Harris, as well as her six great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Beverly graduated from Westlake High School in 1957 and was part of the Westlake High Pep Squad. Beverly's passion for life was reflected in the simple joys that brought her comfort and happiness. She was an avid gardener, finding peace in tending to her flowers and creating beautiful spaces. She enjoyed reading, painting, and spending time outdoors. She always had a stack of books that she could get lost in, and don’t bother coming to the house or calling between 1 and 3 because we all knew she was taking a nap. She enjoyed her afternoon nap. Beverly was incredibly creative, with a natural talent for art that she shared with family and friends. She had an eye for beauty.

A devoted member of Westwood Baptist Church for many years, Beverly's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active participant in her Sunday School class, where she found great joy and fellowship with her church family. She enjoyed serving in any way she could.

Her kindness, strength, and dedication to doing what was right inspired everyone who knew her. She was not a shy lady afraid to speak up, but often shared her thoughts and opinions passionately. She was admired and respected. Beverly’s spirit of generosity and her boldness in standing up for what she believed in left a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to call her wife, sister, mother, grandma, and friend.

Though she has left this world, Beverly’s legacy of love, faith, and courage will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will celebrate her life at a private event at her home.
