Billy Joe Crumpler

He was born in Quitman, LA. on November 9, 1933. He loved woodworking in his shop, fishing, feeding his local birds and strays, and loved his morning stops at McDonald’s. He was known as a talker and loved to tell stories. Most of all, he loved his family and grandchildren very much.

He is survived by his son, Robert Crumpler and wife Sonia of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Kenneth Crumpler and wife Linda, Bobby Crumpler and wife Garnita, both of Deridder, LA; grandchildren, April Lynn Crumpler and Corey Crumpler, both of Tucson, AZ., along with several others.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Atsie Crumpler; brothers, James Crumpler, Dulin Crumpler, Marvin Crumpler; sisters, Eula Hebert and Diane Dubois.

Services will be held at 2:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Sunday, January 15, 2017 with Bro. Kent Sifford officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm and will resume on Sunday from 12:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Cemetery in Westlake.
