Carolyn Norwood was called home to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 20, 2025, she was 77 years old and a lifelong resident of Westlake Louisiana.

She enjoyed casinos, fishing, bingo, collecting porcelain dolls, and Dr. Pepper.

Carolyn is preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas Roessler and Marvin Norwood; two sons, Russell (Rusty) Woodard and Cecil (Flea) Roessler; six brothers and three sisters.

Carolyn was the last of ten children by Ruby Parker and Kirvee Woodard.

Carolyn is survived by one daughter, Freida Roessler Quebodeaux (Keith); six granddaughters; eleven great grandchildren; and one half-sister, Thelma (Sissy) Woodard.

Services will be held at Hixson's Funeral Home in Westlake, LA.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Hixson Funeral Home-Westlake on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM then will continue on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Old Ritchie's Cemetery on South Perkins Ferry Road in Moss Bluff LA.
