Cynthia "Cindy" Edwards Sumpter, a resident of Westlake, Louisiana, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born on March 20, 1957 to Leonard "Duke" Edwards and Barbara "Bobbie" Landry Edwards.
Cindy was a native of Lake Charles and lifelong resident of Westlake where she graduated from Westlake High School. She proudly worked for and retired from the United States Postal Service after 27 years in Westlake. Cindy will be remembered by her friends and family as a happy go lucky woman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 24 years, Michael J. Sumpter; son, Troy Seger, step sons, Danny Sumpter and Justin Sumpter; siblings, Terri Myers and Angela Ullmen; numerous nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas "Tommy" Seger; brother, Jerry Lynn Edwards.
