Dalton Joseph Henry Sr

Dalton Henry, Sr. 91, passed away on Friday, September 09, 2016. He retired from Olin Mathieson as a welder after 25 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, and playing cards with his many friends. He loved his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren very much. Dalton would help anyone in need and give the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette “Sue” Henry of 66 years; two sons, Dalton Joseph Henry, Jr. of Sulphur, Steven Henry of Westlake; four daughters, Barbara “Penny” Leger and husband Gerald of Ragley, Bonnie Johnson and husband Mike of Sulphur, Belinda Burnett and husband Mike of Westlake, and Debra Gotreaux and husband Todd of Westlake; sister, Odile Henry of St. Martinville, LA., his loving dog “Rosebud”, along with 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Dalton is preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Naomi Henry; brothers, Patrick, Harold, Nolan, and sisters, Edith, Alzaire, Cecile, and Odette.

Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 3:00-7:00pm with a Rosary at 5:00pm and will resume on Monday at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake from 9:00am until the procession to the church.
