Elgia M. Gatte

She was born January 15, 1932 in Welsh, LA to Phillip and Zora Miller. She married Calvin Gatte on January 17, 1948 and he preceded her in death. Her parents and one son, Phillip Gatte also preceded her in death.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her four children, Craig Gatte, Jackie Hargrove and her husband Tom, Cora Allen and Naomi LeDoux and her husband Jeff, one brother Bobby Lee Miller, one sister Bonnie Sue Miller, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Elgia was an active member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Westlake and a former member of the Eastern Star.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3 to 8 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake. A funeral service will be on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at Westwood Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Jason Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Westlake Memorial Park.

The family would like to the thank Christus Hospice and Palliative care and the fabulous caregivers that devoted themselves to her care, especially Kay Pousson who was not only a caregiver but a devoted friend to the entire family.
