Westlake - Frank E. Parker, 86, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 in his residence.
He was a WW ll Army Veteran serving under General George S. Patton. He retired from Mobile Oil after 37 years of service, he was a member of American Legion Post 407 and Post 378 and a member of the VFW in Sulphur. He was a loving and devoted husband, Daddy and Papa.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Lois "Punkin" Parker, of Westlake; sons, Hardy Miller "Beau" Parker of Bakersfield, CA; Howard Earl "Poodle" and fiancee Melanie Vizena of Westlake; daughters, Crystal “Pokey” Parker Barras of Westlake; Rachel Rene’ Ellzey and husband Dana of Westlake; Jamie Sue "Stinky" Parker of Conroe, TX.; Krista Renee Silliman and husband Brandon of Westlake; Connie Lynn Parker of Westlake; grandchildren; Candace, Beau Darren, Bethany, Courtney, Jake, Jamie Renee, Tommy Ray, Tabitha, Tanya, Brenda Kay, Angela, Sissy, Heather, Daniel, Dylan, Carley Sue, step grandchildren, Lori, Robbie, Jeremy, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Miller Parker and Molly Louise Layman, stepfather, Carl Layman, daughter, Brenda Kay Parker, son-in-law, Vernon Barras, granddaughter, Baby Ashleigh Parker, brother, Charles Parker, sister, Dorothy Parker.
His service will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
