Gerhard (Gary) William Ferstl

Westlake- Gerhard William Leo Ferstl, 54, passed away on February 23, 2011 in Houston, TX. Gary was born in Munich, Germany and employed by Oil Well Division for 10 years. He later worked as an apartment complex manager until the time of his death. He was an avid fisherman and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Ferstl is survived by son Brandon Todd Ferstl of Lake Charles, mother Irene Dickerson of Westlake, aunt an uncle Anneliese and Bill Perkins of Moss Bluff, aunt Peggy Shattuck, three uncles Gary Lynn Dickerson, Jerry Wayne Dickerson, and Buddy Dickerson, three special cousins Sonja and Roger Paris of Moss Bluff and Ladell Paris. He is also survived by two very special friends Andy and Tony Mercurio of Houston, TX and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death his son Gary Paul Ferstl and his father Eugene Dickerson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3PM until 8PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 and will continue on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 10AM till time of service.
