Helen Owen

Helen retired from Southern Bell as a switch board operator after 31 years. She and her husband loved to travel. She loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Bridget Pelto and husband Tim of Pineville; three grandsons, Ben, Simon, and Joe Pelto; her brothers, Charles, Clifford, and Albert Gary, and her sisters, Hazel Breaux, Clara Granger, and Elizabeth Demary.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James E. Owen, her parents; Ferdinand and Rose Gary, two brothers; Lester and Arthur Gary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2pm., at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Cemetery. Father Albert Borel will officiate. Visitation will begin on Monday at 5pm until 9pm on August 22, 2016, with a rosary at 6:30pm, at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 12:30pm till time of service.
