Henry "Hank" Adolph Duelm Jr., age 82, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. He was born May 8, 1940 to parents Henry Adolph Duelm Sr. and Iva Lucille Bilton Duelm in Ingleside, TX
After graduating high school Hank enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he received numerous accolades, including; Air Force Longevity Service Award (AFLSA) with the 4 leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Commendation Medal, Outstanding Unit, Air Force Good Conduct, Good Conduct, National Defense Service, USAF NCOPEM Graduate, Small Arms Marksmanship, USAF Fire Protection.
During his time of service he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Torrejon Air Base, Spain, McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, Ernest, Harmon Air Force Base, New Foundland, Havre Air Force Station, Montana, Kotzebue Air Force Base, Alaska, and Lake Charles Radar Station. He retired Master Sergeant after 20 years of dedicated service.
Hank loved Sunday football games, and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed being crafty and constructive around the house, as well as camping.
On July 24,1982, he married the love of his life, and they honeymooned in the Poconos. Since 1984 he owned and operated Agape Refrigeration and Appliance Service in Westlake, LA. He was a devoted christian and member of First Baptist Church of Westlake. Hank also was a design Volunteer for Artist Civic Theater & Studio. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Creston James Walker, his brothers; Joe "Buster" Duelm, and Gene Duelm.
Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 40 years Jeanette Marie Duelm, 5 children; Carolyn Walker and husband John, Carleen Williamson and husband Pat, Shaina Farque, Christine Reid, and Cody Duelm, 11 grandchildren; Taylor, Adam, Brenna, Laurel, Garrett, Jair, Sean, Brin, Haley, William, and Bonnie, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 sister Henrietta Griffis, as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 2:00pm until 3:30pm. Memorial Services will begin at 3:30pm.
