Howard Mims

Howard was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Boiler Makers Local 79. He loved joking around with friends and spending time with his dog Belle.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Nix Mims; sons, Wayne Adams and wife Hannah and Wyley Adams and wife Cindy; daughter, Jessica Mims Estillette and husband Chad; and 7 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Mims and Martha Bunch Mims; son, Arthur Ke-Ke Adams II; brothers, Carl Stanley Mims and James Arthur Mims; and sister, Verna Mims Swapp.

His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Burial will follow the service at Baghdad Cemetery in Westlake. His visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 and will continue at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
