Jackie Ann Wix

Jackie Ann Wix, age 69, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Jackie was born on July 19, 1955 in Sulphur, Louisiana to Elroy and Audrey Simon.

Jackie was a longtime member of Westlake Assembly of God Church in Westlake, but more recently she had been attending First Baptist Church of Westlake. Jackie loved going to the camp to fish. Spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She enjoyed sitting on the swing with her husband and teaching her grandkids to fish!

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Brooklyn, grandson, Joseph, sister, Ellen Simon, twin sister, JoAnn Brantley, and brothers, Douglas James Simon and Carl Joseph Simon.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Mike Wix; son, Joseph Wix; son, Jared Wix, daughter, Nickie LeBleu (Troy); son, Douglas James "D.J." Simon (Ashley); grandchildren, Jude, Jenna, Josie, Austin, Emillee, Brayli, Jacelyen, Devin, Cody, Hayli, Hannah, Desmon, Corbin, and Amilya; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, February, 13 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.

Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake with Rev. Jody LaFleur officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
