Janice Asalee Chance

Janice was raised in Merryville, La and was a long time resident of Westlake where she was a member Westlake First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her ladies and dominos.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Bennett of Sulphur; granddaughter, Tina Babineaux and husband Lee of Orange, TX; great grandchildren, Callie Duhon and husband Louis, Matthew Babineaux and Samantha Babineaux; great great grandchildren, Ellie and Bennett Duhon; step children, Barbara Phelps and Ronnie Chance; six step grandchildren; 15 step great grandchildren; and two step great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frazier Chance; sister, Gracie Hebert; and step son, Harlan Chance.

The family will begin receiving friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Friday, January 28, 2022 beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be immediately following at Merryville Cemetery. Rev. Jim Fisher will be officiating at the services.
