Mr. Ashworth was exactly as his obituary described. When I was quite young I visited the Ashworth home quite often. Alice and Jimmie were always very kind and loving and always treated me like family. Furthermore, all the children treated me that way as well. What a great legacy to have raised such loving and kind children. I never saw him get angry. He always took time to visit with me. Such wonderful memories of a great man. God bless the entire Ashworth family during this difficult time. You all mean so much to me as I remember being with you quite a bit a bunch of years ago. If we could all be a little more like Jimmie Ashworth, the world would be a much better place. Love to you all.

Jimmie and I graduated from high school and as long as I knew him, he was absolutely the sweetest, kindest gentleman. He was well respected. He loved his family dearly and talked about them when we would run into each other. Some of our class reunions, we worked together to get it organized with Bobbie Hardey and Tom Courtney. Those were very good times; we had such good memories. Dudley and I won't be attending the services; we only go to doctors' offices when necessary and still do no have our usual family get togethers yet. Such a sad time in our lives. I was heartbroken to get the news of Jimmie. His smile will always be remembered. I am so sorry for your loss; I know it is a big one. But I knew he missed your Mom a lot and they are together again.
