Juanita Prosser

She was born in Lake Charles to the late Cornelius and Eva LeBlanc Steen. Juanita was a member of First Baptist Church of Gillis. She was a member of the Quilting Angels at Westside Baptist Church. She and her husband opened their home and fostered children from Boys Village. Juanita enjoyed sewing and cooking, she made awesome Lasagna. Her relationship with God and family was very important to her. Everybody called her “Momma P.”

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Prosser, Sr.; son, Clarence “Bugsy” Prosser, Jr. and wife, Brenda; daughters, Carolyn Prosser Moore and husband, Keith, Eva Prosser Vaughn and husband Greg and Renee Prosser; sisters, Betty Romero, Marie Lane and Loretta Leger; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Funeral Services will be at 11am on Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Glen George will officiate. Interment will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Prosser, Jay Benniefiel, Robert Benniefiel, Jaunca Vaughn, Michael Vaughn and Emerson Reyes.
