Kevin Joseph Burleigh, age 58, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS. Kevin was born February 17, 1963 to Alvin Burleigh and Myrtis Thibodeaux Burleigh.
Kevin was a long time resident of Westlake where he was a parishioner of St. John Bosco Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He graduated from South Beauregard High School, Class of 1981. After 23 years, Kevin retired as a Planner and Scheduler in the Refinery Industry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Pam Rider Burleigh of Westlake; three sons, Nicholas Burleigh and wife Desiree of Portland, TX, Adam Burleigh and wife Ashley of St. Martinville, and Alex Burleigh and wife Samantha of Woodbury, TN; two grandchildren, Ezra and Azalia; mother, Myrtis Burleigh; and a brother, Dexter Burleigh and wife Marla of Dripping Springs, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Burleigh; maternal grandparents, Leo and Olive Comeaux; and paternal grandparents, Marshall and Elia Burleigh.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Friday, January 14, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with an ACTS rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be immediately following at Westlake Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Harbor Hospice for their love and compassion during his illness.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to the ALS-Team Gleason Foundation.
