Kyla and I were friends since I was in first grade. We took theater together. She was sooooo sweet and every time she saw me she gave me a hug. I am proud and accomplished that I had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends I love you Kyla

Kyla and her little sister used to play with my daughter when they were little. I’m So shocked and hurt to hear that this happened to such A bright young girl. I’ve always seen Kyla with a smile on her face always full of joy. That is the way I’ll remember you with your beautiful smile. I’ll always remember how you talked like a little adult. I just seen Kyla a few weeks ago and it breaks my heart that I won’t be able to talk to her again.

Kyla was the sweetest somebody you ever wanted to know. Whenever something would be wrong with my order at Sonic and she answered me, she would bring it out herself and apologize and it wouldn't even be her fault. And it wasn't because she wanted you to come back. She just cared like that. My Sonic experiences will never be the same. I will forever miss her. 😭

I've only met Kyla once. But in that moment in time, I was was captivated by her positive energy, kindness and that award winning smile. As we discussed her future, her personal and educational goals, there is no doubt in my mind she would have been successful. She loved and adored her family especially her little sister Kharie. She was enthusiastic about her job at Sonic and asked me to come by so she could make me a lemon berry slush. She reminded me, she made the best and I had to come to Westlake. Then she gave me that smile.
To Kyla's family, this beautiful young lady will forever be remembered.
Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Kyla will forever be in your hearts and everyone she has ever met. She had that kind of impact. Lastly, I say,
" When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure." Rest in Peace Bright & Beautiful Spirit.

I was friends with Kyla for a bit in freshman year. Sadly it was hard to keep in contact and i wished i tried harder. But i still hold valuable memories of her. I remember i would stay the night and we would play nightcore music that she loved and eat red pixi stix. She was super outgoing and i enjoyed her company. I can say that im glad to even had a chance to meet a person like her in my life.

Kyla took my Agriscience I class last year. She was a bright spot in my day and a joy to have in the classroom. She was a member of the FFA and a part of our Floriculture team. She was unable to attend our competition but came to practices during lunch and after school. Kyla enjoyed learning about plants and loved Delphiniums. When the pandemic began I gave her a Golden Pothos Ivy to take care of and she was so excited. Kyla found the joy In everything.

My relationship with Kyla was formed as a result of my position as a substitute teacher at Westlake High School. Out of the hundreds of students I interacted with, Kyla stood out as a happy and helpful young lady. She never failed to brighten my day. She was one of those rare individuals who puts the needs of others before her own. She always sought to be a thoughtful listener and loyal friend to anyone who needed comfort. I am very sad that her sweet light has passed from this world, but I am comforted by the assurance that she is enjoying the matchless beauty and perfect fellowship in heaven for all eternity. She leaves behind on this earth a legacy of joy and selflessness that I will never forget.

Kyla had the most potential out of most students. She was absolutely brilliant. She not only helped her friends out, but also acquaintances. She was always optimistic about the future and found light in every creak of a dark situation. I am so grateful to have called her my friend. Rest In Peace Kyla.
