

Leonard was a kind hearted, hardworking; loving man who never met a stranger and loved everyone he met. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He had a love of airplanes, Dickies, jellybeans, and Indian motorcycles.
Family was extremely important to him. He leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy Babineaux King; his three children, Allan King and wife Pat of Austin, TX, Richard King of Leesville, and Pam Richmond and husband Chad of Westlake; five grandchildren, Wayne King and wife Kristy of San Antonio, TX, Brandi Helmenstein and husband Roland of Austin, TX, Michael King of Houston, TX, Thomas Richmond and wife Melissa, and Aimee Edwards and husband Matt of Westlake; nine great grandchildren, Haylie and Alek King of San Antonio, TX, Bryan McKernan of the U.S. Navy, Mathew McKernan of Houston, TX, Faith Helmenstein of Austin, TX, Reese Edwards, Grant Edwards, Scotty Richmond and Abel Richmond of Westlake; sister, Melba King of Austin, TX; and one beloved poodle, Bandit (Turbo) King.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Deacon Fred Reed will officiate. His Internment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 and will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until the time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
