He is survived by his children, Jacob Appleby and Morgan Appleby (Joshua Oliver); grandchildren, Callen Lewis Appleby, Coren Lee Appleby, Katana Lynne Oliver-Appleby, and Calleah Rae Oliver-Appleby; and sister, Shelly Appleby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Dorothy Appleby.
Lewis was a huge sports fan, he especially loved the Las Vegas Raiders. He also played sports as a child including baseball. He enjoyed watching Boxing and his favorite boxer was Roberto Duran.
He enjoyed motor cross and did some racing as well. He liked to grill, scuba dive and travelling.
The family requests visiting hours be held at Hixson Westlake, 2409 Westwood Rd, Westlake, LA 70669, US, on August 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Westlake Memorial immediately following services.
