Lorraine was a member of the Westlake United Methodist Church where she was President of the UMW. She retired from K-Mart after 15 years as a Floor Supervisor in Retail sales.
Lorraine enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, Bingo, Dominoes, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved reading her Bible and Devotional books.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 sons: Alan Borel of Westlake, LA, Kenneth Borel of Westlake, LA, James "Bip" Borel and wife Angie of Westlake, LA. 2 Daughters: Carol Haiko of Westlake, LA, Donna Spears and husband Anthony of Westlake, LA. 17 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her Husband: Edward "Put" Borel, her parents: Bud and Addie Guintard, her sister: Rose Annette Verrett, her grandson: Cody Presley and her great grandson: Brandon Lee Presley.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 3:00PM - 9:00 PM at Hixson's Funeral Home in Westlake, LA. Visitation will resume at Westlake United Methodist Church from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM Thursday, April 21, 2022.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Westlake United Methodist Church at 704 Johnson St. Westlake, LA. 70669. The Reverend Amy Castro will officiate with interment immediately following at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake, LA.
