Margaret was a native of Eunice and a longtime resident of Westlake. She was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Our Mom loved Family and took a loud, full, Cajun household and turned it into a home. A home we all wanted to return too. She loved tending to her plants and taking care of Dad and Big Sunday dinners for all who came by. From her eleven children to her many Grands, Great grands, and Great Great grands, she loved everyone. Above all she was about Family, Always Family!
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 75 years, Joseph Wilman Olivier, Sr. of Westlake; children, Joseph Wilman, Jr. (Vicki) of TX., James Olivier (Diane) of Westlake, Dale Olivier (Christie) of Westlake, Greg Olivier of Deridder, Tim Olivier (Belinda) of Westlake, Cynthia Parker (Jimmy) of Reeves, David Olivier (Monica) of Moss Bluff, Chris Olivier of Westlake, Julie Hicks of Westlake, Beverly Lantz (Greg) of Moss Bluff, and Wayne Olivier (Lisa) of Westlake; 28 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren; and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. for family only and from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for the public with a rosary to be prayed at 5:30 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 until the time of services. A Liturgy of the Word will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be immediately following at Magnolia Cemetery of Westlake.
