

Westlake - Mary Lou Carver, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in her residence.
She lived in Westlake since 1949 and was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Mary Lou was dedicated to her two rosary groups. She loved to dance and travel. She was a teacher at Westlake High School for 30 years where she taught French and English.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Carver and wife Brenda of Westlake; daughter, Betty Elliott and husband Jimmie of Westlake; two brothers, four sisters, ten grandchildren, twenty- four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, a multitude of loving nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, F.M. “Buttercup” Carver, Jr., daughter, Mary “Cookie” Sanner, her parents and two brothers.
Her service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Rev. Albert Borel will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and resume Saturday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
