Maxine Barnes Harrell

Maxine was a lifelong resident of Westlake where she graduated from Westlake High School in 1946. She enjoyed many hobbies including, crocheting, needle point, sewing, oil painting and ceramics.

Those left to cherish her memory are her six children, Jerry Harrell of Las Cruces, NM, Charles Harrell of Westlake, Mary Ann Pundt and husband Danny of Moss Bluff, James Harrell, Melinda Harrell and Melissa Harrell all of Westlake; two grandchildren, Taylor Harrell and Brandon Harrell both of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Raymond Barnes; husband, Wayne Allen Harrell; and two sisters, Nancy Smith and Dorothy Landry.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Friday, June 13, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park.
