He was of Baptist faith and attended Houston River Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Bratcher Morrison, son, Joe Damon Morrison and wife Crystal, daughters, Julie Dene’ Patrick and husband Robert, Jennifer Dee Miller and husband Mike, brothers, David and Allen Morrison, sister, Vickie Setton, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Dee Anne Cherry and his parents.
His service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake. Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. with an American Legion Service at 6:00 p.m. and resume Friday at 8:00 a.m. Burial will be at Westlake Memorial Cemetery.
