He was born in Elton, LA lived in New Orleans for 8 years, Westlake for 27 years and later moved to LeBleu Settlement for 23 years. Roger was a member of Bellview Baptist Church for 50 years, where he and his wife worked with the youth group and was involved with the mission trips. He had several careers which included trucking, sand, truck stop and car wash in Moss Bluff. He enjoyed playing golf but most of all, his most important job was serving Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Ida Miller, brother, William Ray Miller, sister, Earline Richard and husband Albert, grandchild, Casey Ray Miller, 19, of LeBleu Settlement.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Yvonne Leger Miller; sons, Roger L. Miller, Jr and wife Becky of LeBleu Settlement; Robert “Bobby” Miller and wife Rose of LeBleu Settlement; grandchildren, Jacob C. Miller, Dustin Fowler and Derrick Fowler and wife Ashley; three great grandchildren, Madison Roby, Rebecca Fowler and Kaylee Fowler of Clarksville, TN; extended family, Bartley Manuel and family.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Heart of Hospice, Bellview Baptist Church Youth Ministry, La. Baptist Childrens Home or Boys Village.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 5-9pm and resume Thursday at 8am until time of service at Bellview Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10am at the church. Rev.
